Víctor Gómez Pin

(Barcelona, 1944). Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He studied philosophy in Paris, where he obtained his Docteur d’État degree with a thesis on Aristotelian order. He has been a professor at the University of the Basque Country and at the Venice International University. He has been awarded the Anagrama and Espasa Essay Prizes, as well as the International Prize from the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti in 2009. He holds an honorary doctorate from the University of the Basque Country. He is the coordinator of the International Ontology Congress, whose editions have been held under the patronage of UNESCO for thirty years. Among his most recent works are: «El Honor de los Filósofos» (Acantilado, 2020) and «Tras la física, filosofía» (Abada, 2023)..
