José María Sánchez-Verdú

Algeciras (1968). Composer. Full academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. Professor of composition at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. Honorary professor of composition at the Robert Schumann Hochschule. He is part of the Academic Council of the Sibelius Academy and the doctoral program of the Kunstuniversität. International doctor from the Autonomous University of Madrid and law graduate from the Complutense University.

National Music Prize 2003, Siemens Foundation Prize, Irino Prize, Leonardo Grant, Bergische Biennale, Excellence Award from the Bavarian Ministry of Culture, Ibn Arabi, etc. His works are published by Breitkopf & Härtel.
