Isabel Puente

She pursued her higher studies in piano and chamber music in Madrid, New York, and Brussels. She has an extensive concert activity, both as a soloist and chamber musician, collaborating with top-level artists, conductors, and orchestras in Spain and abroad. Specializing in contemporary music, she has premiered over fifty works by contemporary composers, some of which have been dedicated to her. She has recorded for prominent record labels and is a regular collaborator with the RTVE Orchestra and the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, working under the baton of distinguished Spanish and international conductors.

She combines her performing work with teaching at the Superior School of Singing in Madrid, serving as a répétiteur for the lyric stage class and as a professor of contemporary concert song. From this position, she promotes educational projects focused on creation. Examples of these initiatives include «La selva sin amor» and «Seis noches lúgubres», music-theatrical projects involving teachers and students from various higher education art institutions.

She is a professor of piano repertoire specialization at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid, holds a law degree, and earned her doctorate cum laude for her thesis «Noches en los jardines de España» by Manuel de Falla: an open garden, an extensive research work that led her to locate the previously lost original manuscript of the piece.

The Annual Colloquium on Music & Philosophy is organized by the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda and the International Ontology Congress.
